Environmentally friendly coffee

The greenest cup at work is the one with nothing to throw away

"Compostable pod" still means a pod. Carbon offsets still mean the waste happened. Our machines skip the packaging entirely — whole beans in, espresso out, and the leftovers become fertilizer.

Virtually no trash

Beans are ground from an internal hopper — no paper filters, aluminum cups, pods or pouches. Nothing from your coffee goes to landfill.

Grounds become fertilizer

Spent coffee grounds drop into an internal bin and are collected on our weekly visit for composting into organic fertilizer.

Sealed wastewater

Cleaning wastewater collects in sealed internal bins and is removed for proper disposal — never dumped down your drain.

Physical waste elimination vs. marketing

How to read a coffee company's green claims

Most office coffee sustainability programs are accounting exercises: trees planted per order, carbon offsets purchased, "compostable" pods that need industrial composting facilities your city may not have. The waste still gets manufactured, shipped, and discarded — the offset just buys a story about it.

Bean-to-cup service is structurally different. There is no pod to compost because there is no pod. There is no filter in the bin because there is no filter. The only outputs of the brewing process are spent grounds — which we collect and compost into fertilizer — and cleaning wastewater, which leaves in a sealed bin instead of your drain. A 25-person office that switches from pods eliminates roughly six thousand pieces of single-serve waste a year. Not offset: eliminated.

If your workplace reports on sustainability — or your clients ask about it — your breakroom is one of the cheapest places to prove it with something physical rather than purchased.

Compare that to pods

A pod office of 25 people throws out ~6,000 pods a year

A bean-to-cup office throws out none. Same coffee ritual, zero waste stream — and it tastes better, because the beans were ground seconds ago instead of months ago.

  • Whole beans, zero packaging waste
  • No pods — compostable or otherwise
  • Grounds composted, not dumped
  • Wastewater sealed & removed
  • Locally owned, short supply routes
